Great question!

When sharing your Blinq card via iMessage, sometimes your Blinq card's URL will send as plain text, and not as a clickable link.

This is due to the security features that Apple have in place for iMessage. It's a security setting that cannot be turned off, and is there to help prevent iPhone users clicking on unknown links that might be Spam.

  • You will only see this state between two iPhone users. Both you and the recipient need to have iMessage active.

  • Typically, this occurs when sharing a link with an unknown recipient, where neither of you are in each other's contacts list, and you've never interacted.

  • Your card recipient can work around this by copying and pasting the link into their browser manually, or by reacting or responding to the text, which will activate the link.

As it stands, we're unable to make changes on our end to ensure links are always clickable, as this feature is managed by Apple.
