Allowed email domains for your workspace

Keep your workspace to your company. With allowed domains, only people whose email is on a domain you approve can self-join through your invite link.

Allowed domains let you decide which email domains belong to your organisation, like yourcompany.com. Once you've set them, anyone joining your workspace through your invite link needs an email on one of those domains, and no one else can join that way.

What you can do

  • Choose the email domains that are allowed to join your workspace, such as yourcompany.com

  • Add more than one domain if your company uses several

  • Gate your invite link both ways, so approved domains can join and everyone else is blocked

  • Remove your domains any time to open your workspace back up

Who can use this

Available to Admins and the Owner on a Business or Enterprise workspace, from your workspace settings on the dashboard.

If your workspace uses SAML SSO, you won't see this setting. SSO already controls who can sign in, so allowed domains isn't needed.

How to use it

  1. Log in to the dashboard as an Admin or Owner.

  2. Go to Settings, then open the Workspace tab.

  3. Find Allowed domains.

  4. Add each email domain you want to allow, for example yourcompany.com.

  5. Save your changes. From now on, only people with an email on an allowed domain can join through your invite link.

Note: Allowed domains only applies to people joining through your invite link. Anyone who already joined keeps their access, and Admins can still directly invite or add an individual member with any email address.

Why it helps

Allowed domains keep your workspace to your organisation. Rather than checking each person who self-joins, you decide once which email domains belong to your company, and Blinq handles the rest: letting in colleagues on those domains and turning away everyone else. It's a simple way to make sure a shared invite link only ever brings in the right people.

FAQ

Can I allow more than one domain?
Yes. Add every domain your company uses, for example if you have both yourcompany.com and yourcompany.co.

What happens if someone with an outside email tries to join?
They can't join through your invite link. Only people with an email on one of your allowed domains can use the link to sign up.

Can I still add someone from outside my allowed domains?
Yes. Allowed domains only gates your invite link. As an Admin or Owner, you can still directly invite or add an individual member with any email address.

I can't find the Allowed domains setting. Why?
If your workspace uses SAML SSO, the setting is hidden, because SSO already manages who can sign in.
