Once an account is created, you can update the email address associated to login in with, so long as the new email address does not already have an existing account in Blinq.
If you no longer have access to your email address, please see our advice at the bottom of this article.
Via the Blinq App:
Open the Blinq App and sign in
Click the Main Menu in the top left corner
Select Manage my account from the menu options
From the Account menu select Change login email
A confirmation of your current login will appear, click Change login email to continue
Enter your new email in the field
Click Change login email to confirm
Your account has now been changed to login via the new email address
Via the Blinq Dashboard (Google, Microsoft or Apple):
Login to dash.blinq.me from a desktop or tablet browser
Select the Account Menu in the top left corner of the screen
Choose Account from the drop down
Select Login & Security from the account menu
Scroll to the Connections section
Click Disconnect next to the connection provider
Scroll up to the Password section
Click Set Password
Follow the prompts to create a password for your account
Scroll up again to the Email address and click Edit
Update the email address field to your new email
Enter the password you just created
Click Save to finalise the change
If you no longer have access to your email address:
If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your Blinq account, our Support team will first need to verify account ownership before reviewing the available options.
If a password has not been created for the account, Blinq Support ([email protected]) may be able to assist with updating the email address after ownership has been verified.
If a password has been created for the account, we’re unfortunately unable to restore access at this time. Our best recommendation is to either:
Contact your email provider and request that they reactivate your old email address, or
Create a new Blinq account using an email address you currently have access to.
