How Contact Enrichment Works

At Blinq, Contact Enrichment helps provide more complete business contact information when you save a contact.

What is Contact Enrichment?

Contact Enrichment is a feature that adds publicly available business information from trusted third-party data providers to contacts saved in Blinq. Depending on the information available from those providers, enrichment may include:

  • Job title

  • Company information

  • Professional social profiles

  • Business contact details

The purpose of enrichment is to help you maintain more complete and up-to-date contact records. It's intended to add only business and professional information.

Why we use Contact Enrichment

Enrichment is designed to improve data quality so you spend less time typing and fixing contact details. It can help with:

  • More complete contact profiles

  • Better matching, deduplication, and search

  • Fewer bounced emails caused by outdated work contact details

Does Blinq use my card to enrich other people's contacts?

We do not use your card information to enrich other people's contacts. When enrichment is enabled, Blinq may use limited professional identifiers already held in the service (for example, your name, company, or work email) to help verify or complete business context details for saved contacts.

Any additional details added through enrichment come from approved third-party business data providers and other lawful sources that operate independently of Blinq, not from the details you display on your card.

I don't want my information surfaced through Contact Enrichment

We understand that some people may prefer not to have their information surfaced through enrichment services.

If you'd like your details suppressed from Blinq's Contact Enrichment feature, contact our Privacy team. Our team will review your request and action it within the relevant statutory deadline, and explain the options available to you.

Does suppression remove my information from the internet?

No. If your information exists in third-party data sources, suppressing it within Blinq prevents it from being surfaced through Blinq's enrichment feature going forward, but it doesn't remove the information from the original third-party sources. You may need to contact those providers directly if you want it removed from their services.

Privacy and control

Blinq is designed to support professional contact management:

  • Your organization may be able to enable or disable enrichment depending on plan and settings.

  • You remain responsible for what you choose to share on your Blinq card.

  • If you believe a profile has incorrect information, you can request correction or suppression by contacting our Privacy team.
