Setting up your Blinq NFC accessories

Whichever Blinq NFC accessory you choose, one tap is all it takes to share your card.

Blinq NFC accessories, business cards, metal and wooden cards, wristbands, keychains, and stickers, all work the same way. Activate the accessory once, then tap it against any NFC-enabled phone to share your Blinq profile.

What you can do

  • Activate any Blinq NFC accessory and link it to your Blinq profile

  • Share your card with a tap, no unlocking or opening an app required on the recipient's side

  • Fall back to the printed QR code if a phone doesn't support NFC

  • Link multiple accessories to the same profile, handy for a backup in your wallet or one on your desk

  • Link different accessories to different profiles, useful for separating personal and professional networking

  • Update your details any time from your Blinq profile, without needing a new accessory

Who can use this

Available to anyone with a Blinq NFC accessory, business card, metal card, wooden card, wristband, keychain, or sticker, and the Blinq app on iOS or Android. No paid subscription is required: every accessory works out of the box with the two free Blinq profiles included on the Free plan.

Compatible with iPhone 11 and newer, and virtually all modern Android phones that support NFC. Older iPhones (XS and earlier) can use the accessory's printed QR code instead.

How to use it

  1. Open the Blinq app.

  2. Open the Main menu and select Pair NFC Device.

  3. Tap your accessory to the back of your phone until it's detected.

  4. Select which Blinq card you want the accessory to share, then confirm.

  5. Once paired, tap your accessory against any NFC-enabled phone to share your profile instantly.

Note: If your accessory isn't detected, try removing thick phone cases or magnetic attachments first, then move the accessory slowly across the back of the phone since NFC antennas sit in different spots by model. If it still doesn't work, use the accessory's printed QR code instead.

Why it helps

Every Blinq accessory shares the same live profile, so however you tap, whoever you're meeting, the experience is identical and the recipient never needs to install anything.

FAQ

Does the person I'm sharing with need the Blinq app?
No. Tapping or scanning opens your Blinq profile directly in their phone's browser. There's nothing for them to download or install.

Do I need a paid subscription to use Blinq NFC accessories?
No. Every accessory works out of the box with the two free profiles on Blinq Free. Paid plans add extras like a branded QR code, multiple card designs, and analytics.

Can I link more than one accessory to the same profile, or different accessories to different profiles?
Yes to both. Link several accessories to one profile as backups, or link separate accessories to separate profiles if you want distinct personal and professional cards.

What if my accessory isn't working?
Make sure NFC is turned on for the phone you're tapping (always on for iPhone 11+; check Settings > Connections > NFC on Android), remove thick cases or magnetic accessories, and try the printed QR code if the tap still doesn't register.
