Using Blinq offline

Keep sharing your card and capturing leads when the signal drops. Blinq switches to offline automatically and syncs once you're back online.

At a packed event or a dead-signal venue, your connection can drop right when you need it. Blinq keeps working: it automatically switches your card to an offline version so people can still scan it, and the card scanner keeps capturing badges. Everything you capture syncs once you're back online.

Why it helps

  • Keep capturing on a busy floor, even in weak or no signal areas

  • Every contact captured offline lands enriched as soon as you're back online

  • Offline mode kicks in automatically: nothing to switch on from your side!

What you can do

  • Share your card with no connection: when your signal drops, Blinq automatically switches your QR code to an offline version that scans without internet, then switches back when you reconnect.

  • Keep scanning badges offline with the card scanner, which queues each scan.

  • Capture details in your lead capture form offline too.

  • Let queued contacts sync automatically once you're back online, with enrichment running on reconnect.

  • Switch to offline yourself with the manual toggle if you know the wifi is about to struggle.

Who can use this

Offline works in the Blinq mobile app, with no setup needed.

Which offline features are available to you depends on your plan and the Blinq features you use. If you don't see a feature working offline yet, it may not have reached your device.

How it works

Sharing your card offline

When Blinq detects that your connection has dropped, it automatically switches your card's QR code to an offline version that scans without internet. When you reconnect, it switches back to your live card on its own. You can also switch to offline yourself with the manual toggle if you want to turn it on before the signal goes.

Capturing contacts offline

The card scanner keeps working with no connection. Each scan is queued on your device, and your contacts are created automatically once you're back online, with a confirmation when they've finished. Enrichment runs on reconnect, so you don't need to re-enter anything.

FAQ

Do I need to turn offline mode on?
No. Blinq switches to offline automatically when your connection drops, and back when it returns. There's also a manual toggle if you'd rather switch it on yourself.

What happens to contacts I capture offline?
They're queued on your device and created automatically once you're back online, with a confirmation when they've finished processing.

Does everything work offline?
Sharing your card and scanning badges work offline. Enrichment and syncing to your CRM happen once you're back online, since they need a connection.
