When you receive a Blinq digital business card, you might be asked to fill in a quick form first. It only takes a few fields, and you're always in control of what you share.
Note: The custom lead form is available on Blinq Business and Enterprise plans. View pricing → |
What you can do
Fill in your name and contact details in seconds
Answer any custom questions the sender has added, like your job title, company, or a quick dropdown choice
Leave any checkbox unchecked if it doesn't apply to you
Skip the form entirely if a skip option is offered
Submit from any browser, no app download or Blinq account needed
Who can use this
Anyone who receives a Blinq card can fill out a lead-capture form. You don't need a Blinq account, an app, or any particular plan, the form is just a quick web page. It only appears if the person who shared their card with you has set one up for their card, template, or event.
Setting one up yourself as an admin? See Custom Lead Form for how to build and apply one to your workspace, template, or campaign.
How to use it
Open the card shared with you, whether you scanned a QR code, tapped an NFC card, or opened a shared link.
Look out for the form. Depending on how the sender set it up, you'll see it before you view their card, or afterward.
Enter your name. This is the one field every form always asks for.
Add your email or phone number. One of these is always required so the sender can follow up with you.
Fill in any other fields the sender has added, like job title, company, a custom question, or a dropdown choice.
Select Skip if that option is available (your admin can build this option into the form) and you'd rather not fill in the form. Your connection with the sender still goes through either way.
Submit the form when you're done.
Note: Checkbox fields can never be marked required. If a question is a checkbox, you can always leave it unticked and still submit the form.
Why it helps
You only ever fill in what actually matters for the connection, your name and one way to reach you. Everything else is the sender's choice to ask for, and any checkbox is always yours to leave unticked.
FAQ
What happens if I skip the form?
Skipping doesn't cancel the connection. The sender's card is still shared with you, your form answers just aren't submitted.
Do I have to fill in every field?
Only your name and one way to reach you (email or phone) are always required. Everything else, including every checkbox, is optional unless the sender has chosen to require it. Checkboxes can never be required.
What happens to my answers after I submit?
Your answers go straight to the person or business who shared the card with you, so they have accurate details to follow up with you.
