Push new Blinq contacts into almost any CRM using a Zapier Zap.

Zapier connects Blinq to hundreds of other tools, so new contacts you capture can flow straight into the CRM your team already uses. Setting it up needs your Blinq organization admin, the manager of your CRM account, and the manager of your Zapier account.

What you'll need

Note: This feature is available on Blinq Business and Enterprise plans, and only works for company contacts.

What you can do

  • Export new contacts automatically as they're captured

  • Export all your existing contacts

  • Control which contacts are exported, and when

Note: Due to limitations in Zapier, only the Create Contact action event is supported. Contacts aren't updated in your CRM when they're updated in Blinq. Where possible, use our direct integrations instead, they offer live sync and are far easier to set up.

Step 1: Create a Zap in Zapier

Zaps are Zapier's way of connecting two services so they can share information. To create a Zap connecting Blinq to your CRM:

  1. Log in to Zapier.

  2. Select Create Zap.

  3. Search for Blinq in the trigger section and select the Blinq trigger.

  4. Select New Contact in the Trigger Event dropdown.

  5. Select Continue.

  6. Select Sign in to Blinq.

A new window opens asking for your ID and token. You'll get these from your Blinq account next.

Step 2: Authenticate with Blinq

  1. Navigate to the dashboard in a separate browser tab.

  2. Log in to Blinq if you haven't already.

  3. Select your workspace in the top left of the screen.

  4. In the dropdown, select Settings.

  5. Under the Integrations page you'll see Export Contacts, containing an ID and Token. Generate the token by selecting Regenerate.

  6. Copy the ID and Token, navigate back to the Zapier window, and paste them into the corresponding fields.

  7. Select Yes, Continue.

  8. Once your credentials are verified the window closes. Navigate back to the Zapier tab and select Continue.

Step 3: Test the Blinq trigger

In Zapier, a trigger is the service sharing its information. Blinq is the trigger here, since it's sharing the contact with your CRM.

  1. Select Test Trigger.

  2. You should see some contact information appear. Select Continue.

  3. Search for the CRM you'd like to send the contact information to.

  4. Select Continue.

Note: If you don't have any contacts for your business, you'll get an error saying A New Contact could not be found. Select Skip Test and confirm when the pop-up appears. This won't cause problems with the rest of the Zap. Test data should then appear, and you can select Continue.

Step 4: Set up an action

Actions are what you'd like to do with the contact data from Blinq, most often creating a contact in your CRM. The steps below cover HubSpot, but they're very similar for other services including Salesforce, Outlook, and Google Contacts.

  1. Select the Choose an event dropdown.

  2. Select Create Contact. Other CRM products should offer the same action event.

  3. Select Continue.

  4. Select Sign in to HubSpot.

  5. A new window opens asking for your HubSpot account details. After logging in, select your account and select Choose Account.

  6. Select Connect app to give Zapier access to your HubSpot account.

  7. The window closes. Navigate back to the Zapier tab and select Continue.

  8. Zapier asks you to set up the action. This means mapping the contact fields in a Blinq contact, for example first_name, to the contact fields in HubSpot.

  9. Once you've mapped the fields you care about, scroll down and select Continue.

  10. Select Test & Continue.

  11. Select the toggle button at the bottom of the screen to turn your Zap on. You can also turn it on anytime from the Zapier dashboard.

Note: When mapping fields, you may see a warning that a contact will actually be created in HubSpot when you select Test & Continue. If you'd rather not create one, select Skip Test instead.

Note: Not every field in a HubSpot contact has a matching field in a Blinq contact. You don't need to map every field, just the ones that matter to your team, such as First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.

Note: If you're looking to set up a CRM integration with a service Zapier doesn't support, contact [email protected].
